March 11-15, 2019 within the framework of the project “Modernization of Pedagogical Higher Education by Innovative Teaching Instruments” (MoPED) of the EU program Erasmus + KA2 – Development of Higher Education Capacity, No. 586098-EPP-1-2017-1-UA-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, a partner of which is Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University, on the basis of the Gregory Skovoroda Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky State Pedagogical University, a training course was held for participants of the international project and a regular meeting of the representatives of the working groups of the consortium of the universities participating in the project.
Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University was represented by Nataliia Morze – Vice-Rector on Informational Technologies, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine – Project Manager.; Svitlana Vasylenko – Deputy Head on the Content and Research of IT in Education Laboratory; Mariia Gladun – Senior Lecturer of Department of Computer Science and Mathematics of the Faculty of Information Technology and Management, Hennadii Bondarenko – Head of the Department of Primary Education at the Pedagogical Institute, Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University; Iryna Vorotnykova – PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor of the Department of Methodology of Natural and Mathematical Education and Technologies; Oleksandra Shkurenko associate professor of the Department of Primary Education Borys Grinchenko Kyiv University.
The training led by a team of scientists from the University of Deusto (Spain) has impressed with its content, professional foundation, emotionality and a large number of practical exercises that influence the exchange of experience and professional development of participants. During the week, college partners from the University of Deusto shared their knowledge and skills on such topics such: “Girls in STEAM”, “Open School Model”, “Assessment of Learning Results”, “Computational Thinking”, “Development of entrepreneurial competence and ways of formation entrepreneur”, “Digital skills: creating infographics for the lesson, document, presentation”. Ukrainian partners took an active part in discussing, including topics: “Developing an active research methodology for STEAM”, “The Research Training Space from the Student’s Point of View”.
During the breaks, the participants of the training had an opportunity to visit the Memorial Museum of Hryhorii Skovoroda, Muzey Kobzarstva. They attended presentation of the Art exhibition of the member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, senior teacher of the Department of Arts and Methodology of teaching Roman Motuzka “Picturesque Pereyaslav” and join the master- classes on decorative painting and miniatures “Ukrainian souvenir” and “Ukrainian colour”. Participants looked at the resources of the library environment of the Gregory Skovoroda Pereyaslav-Khmelnytsky State Pedagogical University and took part in the master class “Art food-relax” (Emotional Taste), training-relaxation “Energy of the movement” and art-mob “Tree of wishes”, on which they could leave comments on visiting city-museum.
Participants got new ideas on implementation of innovative technologies in the education process, acquired new professional skills, got positive emotions and exchanged experience. According to the results of the training, it is planned to realize series of trainings for University teachers and students and teachers of secondary education institutions of the Kyiv city.
During the meeting of the working group were shown presentations of courses developed by partner Universities and held discussions and review of the features of the courses, their design and implementation (strategy, advertising, design processes with defined deadlines, evaluation). There were presented and discussed plans and challenges that appeared during the execution of work packages and disseminate information about the project; there were specified the features of the training for the improvement of professional skills and knowledge and the key aspects of the international conference.
